What is it ?

The Suunto PM-5 is a rugged and durable inclinometer for measuring roof pitch angles safely from either the ground or loft.

It uses high-end jewelled bearings and parallax-free optics securely housed in an anodized aluminium casing which protects them from impact, corrosion and water. it's supplied in a nylon carrying pouch with a belt loop for easy portability. Each one is individually calibrated and comes with a 2-year defects warranty.

Unlike most inclinometers, they do not use batteries or power sources and so will always be ready to use straight out of the toolbox.

What is it for?

The Suunto PM-5 can be used for measuring roof pitches to +/- 1 degree accuracy onto which your planned solar array will be placed. These tools are especially useful for situations where it is impractical or perhaps impossible to gain access to the roof to measure the pitch. Additional uses include triangulation and the measurement of the heights of distant objects. A handy co-tangent table is printed on the back to assist with these calculations.
