Adoption of T*SOL to country’s typical setting
T*SOL can quickly produce results as soon as it is opened for the first time. For improved accuracy, detailed adjustments are made to the parameters to suit each individual project. For example, T*SOL Expert allows over 50 adjustments even for simple layouts. For initial analysis, many parameters can be left in their default setting or repeated from the previous project. For the more complex systems, adjusting the values correctly requires practice and experience. Our training can help familiarise how best to make these adjustments.
The T*SOL program has default settings that are best changed to match typical values that are expected to each country. These changes are additional to selecting the correct climate. Typical values are frequently reviewed and it is always better to survey specific values for each site. The values below are used for domestic properties in United Kingdom that have not yet been surveyed in detail or as new defaults to make the program quicker to use. The external source of the values is indicated in (ITALICS). We recommend that all such values are revealed to support simulation reports where requested.
