The precision laser measuring tool with zoom digital viewfinder and inclinometer
What is it?
The Leica DISTO™ D8 is a highly accurate laser measuring tool with integral inclinometer with a measuring range of 0.05m to 200m and a typical accuracy of +/- 1mm.
Indirect measurements such as window heights can be calculated using the integral Pythagoras function. The Trapezium function allows for quick measurement of roof slopes and facades.
A 4x zoom and a digital viewfinder with colour display lets you measure distant objects, where the laser does not show well such as in bright sunlight.
The D8 features Bluetooth connectivity for direct data transfer into Windows-based programs such as Excel, Word, AutoCAD and, of course, PV*SOL and T*SOL.

How does it import into PV*SOL Photoplan?
It is easy to beam the roof width or inclined length from your DISTO™ D8 straight into PV*SOL Photoplan.
Just highlight the relevant measurement box in Photoplan with the mouse cursor and click the Bluetooth transfer button.
The DISTO™ will automatically transfer all specified measurements directly into the Photoplan boxes as per the picture below:
